Russian murder finally arrested,
Police have arrested a man on bail from a previous armed robbery on charges of killing two Russian women tourists at Jomtien beach last week. He was turned in by his former girlfriend. |
Gunman identified as Thai native
Russian beach murder arrested.
The man was identified as Anuchit Lamlert, 24, a native of Chon Buri province.
Police said Anuchit Lamlert, 24, admitted
the crime, saying he had tried to rob the
two women, Livbov Svirkova, 25, and
Tatiana Tsimfer, 30.
The native Thai man stated, they screamed for help, so he shot them several times to silence them. He then fled on a motorcycle.
Assawin Kwanmuang, chief of Provincial Police Bureau 2, quoted Mr Anuchit as saying that after the shooting he sold the gun to a friend in Chon Buri city.
Forensic tests on the pistol, found hidden in
a dumpster by his friend who bought it from Anuchit, matched the shell casings left at
the scene, police said.
Mr Anuchit had a previous criminal record. |

Marathon in Pattaya 15th July 2007

The Pattaya Marathon will take place on 15. 7.2007 and will start and finish in front of Soi 4 on Pattaya Beach Road. Preparations for the Marathon which is the highlight of the Pattaya Events Calendar are now being finalized including confirmation of the route and its distance.
