Pattaya hosts meeting on intellectual property management for the sustainability of the International Fireworks Festival – sounds official, right? But trust us, there’s a lot more to it than just long titles and conference rooms. This is all about making one of Pattaya’s most iconic events — the International Fireworks Festival — even better, bigger, and more sustainable for years to come. And yes, that means more fireworks lighting up our skies in the future!
At this recent workshop, Mr. Krisana Boonsawat, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, rolled up his sleeves and joined forces with key people from across different sectors. The event was kicked off by Mr. Siwat Boonkerd, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City, who warmly welcomed attendees and officially opened the session.
Also joining the conversation were experts from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) — that’s the government agency that helps promote MICE events (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). They shared valuable insights on how Pattaya can develop a stronger brand for its fireworks festival, while also protecting and maximizing the value of its intellectual property (IP).
So… why does IP even matter for fireworks?
Well, think about it — the International Fireworks Festival isn’t just a night of pretty lights. It’s one of Pattaya’s biggest tourism draws and a real economic booster. Managing the intellectual property behind it — like logos, event names, unique visuals, and branding — helps ensure that Pattaya owns the value of this global-scale event. That means more partnerships, better marketing, and long-term growth.
During the session, participants broke into groups to brainstorm ideas under the theme: “Creating Added Value for the Pattaya International Fireworks Festival.” From ideas on festival merchandising, digital content, to better storytelling and community engagement — everyone had a chance to throw their creativity into the mix.
What’s the big picture?
It’s all about sustainability — not just environmental, but cultural and economic too. By strengthening the foundation of the festival through smart IP management and branding, Pattaya is setting itself up for a future where this festival doesn’t just survive — it thrives.
Here at PattayaCity.info, we love seeing these behind-the-scenes efforts that keep our city vibrant and forward-thinking. Because let’s face it — great festivals don’t just happen. They’re built, protected, and improved — one brilliant idea at a time.
Stay tuned for more updates on how Pattaya is lighting the way forward — literally and figuratively.
